English Language Writers’ Group/Book Club of Bologna

 

Writing and Reading are inherently solitary activities. Yet discussing what we read and exposing what we write are the best way to encourage, share and develop those passions. While one may be a reader without the intention of writing, the opposite is impossible.  The group intertwines book club and writers group format to discuss, workshop style, each other’s writing and its development with the background of book club style exchange of titles, discussion and themes in creative writing and poetry. This is a new group and its structure will be formed organically during the first meetings.

 This writers’ group is organized primarily for English Language creative writers and poets living in Italy who would like to find like minded writers to offer comment and support for writing projects underway or yet to be pursued, but is open also to those who are readers seeking an English language book club for sharing their passion for reading.  

This in not an online group, but an in person meeting once or twice a month (to be decided on according to availability) in a location in or around Bologna.
